Starts playing unexpectedly when clicking on playlist

Starts playing unexpectedly when clicking on playlist

Does anyone else see the following bug?

1. You are playing from a playlist of your own,

2. enter the "now playing" view (see picture)

3. stop the playing

4. click on the "playing from playlist" at the top

5. for me, spotify now start the playing again, and it do so from the beginning of the song. Does that happen for you?

I'm using a Samsung S22 phone.

Thanks

Hey there @bosi,

Thanks for sharing the screenshot.

Did you notice when this behavior started and does it only happen with personal playlists? As this can be due to some corrupted cache which may be causing performance issues, I recommend deleting it and performing a clean reinstall if you haven't already done so.

Hopefully this makes a difference, but if anything else comes up the Community's here 🙂

Cheers!

Yes the bug is tied to a certain version of spotify on Android. I saw it in 8.9.56.618, could be earlier.

It also seem to have a connection to my account.

That is why I ask the community if other people have seen this error.

Hey @bosi,

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info shared.

To confirm if it could be account or device-related, it would be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists.

Also, would you mind checking on a different Android device (using your own account) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from the same friend or family member just to test it out.

Lastly, include in your next response the OS version of your device to continue investigating this.

We'll be on the lookout.
