Unable to play my own playlists!

Solved!

Unable to play my own playlists!

I cannot play any of my own playlists. As soon as I choose one I am returned to my home screen.

Playing a playlist i subscribe to works great, also streaming works (even streaming the exact same album I made a playlist of...)

Have tried uninstall and deleted all spotify related files through file manager.

On Galaxy Nexus 4.0.4.

Ideas?

Hello,

I've just taken a look at your accounts, and couldn't see anything weird, beyond that you have unusual characters in your usernames... If you know someone else who has Premium, it might be an idea to test their accounts on your phone.

Failing that, we might request if we could try and test your accounts here in the office on an Android device - That might help us narrow it down, if it's a character-in-username issue.

I've got the same issue with a Samsung Galaxy Nexus on Android 4.0.4. I've tried uninstalling the app, pulling the battery and then reinstalling but the issue is still there.

I also have an "unusual"-character in my username and have exactly the same problem

I am able to play other peoples playlists - those who I am subscribed to and whats new tracks

As soon as I try to play my own the following message is displayed

The application Spotify (process.com.spotify.mobile.android.ui) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

Music from those playlists I am able to access continues to play in the background and i can open Spotify again, but as soon as I try to play my own playlists the error is displayed.

You are more than welcome to try my accound at your offices.

Same issue for me, my username being "l`ocus".

(And app' logcat saying it crashes on the java.net.URI class when calling create() method.)

I thought that it might have had something to do with the unusual characters... Like I said above, I have tried to login to a different phone with the same result, and my friends account works perfectly on that phone..

Also it works without a hitch on desktop app, so it's definitely something evolving around the mobile app.

However, I have not tried on an iPhone, would that be helpful if I did?

Having the same problem with CM9 nightly build on my Galaxy SII and yes, my username has unusual characters as well!

I still have the same problem even with the new version from the market. You are welcome to trie and use my account at your office to solve this problem.

I'm using Spotify newest app on a 4.0 Android device (Sensation) and I'm not having problems with playing my own playlists etc. Username is the same as the name here. So could it be that if the name has "odd" characters in it - it can't handle the requests to move to the users directory/folder that has the playlists and thats why it returns to the home screen?. Just thinking.

Hello again!

A friend just logged in to his account on my phone and it worked right away..

So it seems like a very plausible theory that the unusual characters are at fault here.

If you like I can come by the office in sthlm later today 🙂

Any news regarding this?

It would seem more people are having the problem as well

I thought I had the same problem, but my playlist are in folders. Two of those folders appear in a folder (nested) that i deleted a half year ago. This is only in the mobile version (HTC Sensation with the ICS update and Spotify version 0.5). In the desktop version the folder is not visible and i don't have any nested folders.... weird?!?! But anyway i can acces the (not downloaded) playlists on mobile.

Maybe this ' finding' can help sovle the problem!

Same problem for me.. Only a few of my playlists are syncing.

I've deleted and reinstalled with no change.
