[Wear OS] Library -> Playlists only shows Playlists, but no Folders

[Wear OS] Library -> Playlists only shows Playlists, but no Folders

My Question or Issue

When navigating to Library -> Playlists on my watch, folders are not listed and it is therefore impossible to navigate to any playlists that are in those folders when they are not suggested at the home page.

Apart from that I find the watch-App amazing, I rarely use the phone/PC anymore to skip songs or change the volume! Great work!

Further suggestions - Volume Control with Watch:

Use Case: Getting a call - mute Spotify quickly by using the watch.

My watch has a rotatable ring (HW input) that's used for volume control inside the app (along with the on screen buttons).

It takes like 2-5 complete rotations to turn the volume all the way down when rotating normally/quickly - when rotating very slowly it only takes 270° of rotation.

I don't know if this is Samsungs fault for skipping inputs on that HW dial or if Spotify can't keep up.

When want to mute I'd just give it a quick spin and be done.

So maybe increase the effect that each step on the rotation dial has to the volume level. It's not like anyone would need 20 positions when adjusting it on the watch...

Also Adding a mute button on the volume control face might work - but then one would have to look at the watch rather than just rotate the dial a bit...

Thank you, Maybe you could look into this

Have a nice year 2022 and stay safe!

Hey @DaRedaBua,

Thanks for the post and the feedback you've provided.

Currently there is no option to play folders and open folders on the Wear OS devices.

Regarding the volume control - the volume raise/ drop increments are not something that can be manually adjusted from the Spotify app.

Spotify constantly strives to improve the user experience with its features and the easiest way to achieve this is by regular app updates. That’s why we appreciate you taking the time to share your suggestions with the Community.

If you think other users might also like it, go ahead and create an idea on the relevant idea board. We always take new ideas and feedback into consideration to improve the app. Here you can read more on how ideas work.

We also suggest checking this help article for useful tips on how to submit an idea. As a heads-up, it's good to know that the higher the number of votes an idea gets, the more likely it is for the idea to be implemented.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.

Agreed, it's really annoying that folders don't work! I organized my playlists and now have to revert it all just to make it work on Android Wear? That's really bad UI!

I'm annoyed too by not showing the playlists on the Android Wear app

It's a shame that Spotify can't show playlists in folders in the Android Wear 😞

Agree it's annoying.  It would take a dev less than an hour to implement this basic functionality.  This should not be considered a feature request, but a bug fix.
