When I start a track it is at low volume for half a second then jumps up.

To reproduce I start a track and it's fine. Then I restart it and the volume drops for half a second at the start of the song. Same thing when an album or playlist track starts. Lie volume for first note or two. Very annoying. Cross fade is off

Thanks for reaching out and kudos for checking the Crossfade option.

Can you let us know on what device, OS version and Spotify version this is happening? Do you get the same behavior in the web player? Have you tried any troubleshooting steps like logging out and back in a couple of times or clean reinstalling the app?

If possible, send over a short video of how things look/sound on your end. If the file is too large to attach, you can upload it to Google Drive (make sure to allow general access to the file) or as an unlisted YouTube video.
