Hi,
I would suggest posting here where a mod can remove all devices from your account. Once done it would be wise to change your password and then you should be OK again.
Read my post above yours. You can also check your devices from Spotify.com/account
Hey there,
You should get in touch with the spotify support team by using the online contact form or by tweeting @SpotifyCares on twitter.
If you get an auto reply back directing you to the help pages, just reply directly to that email (even if its from no-reply) and one of the employees will get back to you as soon as possible.
Did I help? Please add a like!
Did I solve your issue? Please accept as the solution!
*Bump*
I'm having this exact problem now, very frustrating. I've reset my password twice, deauthorised all devices etc. Also raised a call with Spotify to see what they can do.
Very fustrating as every time I play a song, it cuts out and plays someone else's!
Anyone find a solution to this?
Kieran
i've been having the same issues... i've changed my network password, my facebook password and my spotify password. i keep getting "nicks iphone" as being connected, but when i go to authorized devices in my account, it doesn' tshow up there.
I have someone's device called "steve's office" on spotify connect and I don't know who's it could be. It never plays on there though, It never cuts out my music. It's just there and it annoys me becasue I have no idea who it is and why it just showed up oneday...
already tried that, still didnt fix it.
I was having this issue as well, but I believe I fixed it.
I was out of town last weekend and signed into my account on someone's PS4 so we could listen to Spotify. When I got home, they were still using my account. I signed out of all devices, and I didn't have any issues. Today, I saw they were back using my account. So, I signed out of all devices again. I also looked at Apps, and I revoked access to Spotify from a PS4 app. At the moment, they haven't been back on my account.
May be helpful for someone!
BUMP
being controlled by "ADMIN"?? and having new playlists added. seems to like spanish music
Me too - someone's spanish iphone as a connected device. I responded by playing some death metal on their device and then changing my password...
I have also deleted all devices and changed password, yet there is always one device that keeps showing up and forcefully stealing the playback.
It makes one wonder why Spotify won't post a formal document on EXACTLY how to fix this problem, I wonder if it's because they don't know what is causing it?
Should we be concerned having a credit card associated with our account if they aren't able to secure their platform?
This happened to me, again; someone from a different country listening to foreign music. I played a song titled "**bleep** off" and they changed the song again, very annoying. Scared now incase my PC has been compromised. Done a virus scan, no threats apparently. I changed my pass and kicked them off the app and so far, nothing. BUT! My gmail has 2 step authentication and somehow they got through that? Very confusing.
The 2 step authentication would only kick in if they tried to log into your gmail account but it's worth changing your password there to be on the safe side, especially if you were using the same password for spotify and gmail.
