My Question or Issue
The artist page for Sugar currently has 2 different artists linked to it. There is a current solo artist working under the name Sugar (most recent album Ghosts for Forever). There was a band in the early 90s led by Bob Mould also called Sugar (their band pic is the main artist picture for the page)
These 2 need to be separated onto 2 different pages to avoid any confusion.
Hi @rojimy1123,
Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community, and welcome!
If you notice music that appears under the wrong artist profile, and you've already tried the suggested steps in this support article regarding faulty or inaccurate metadata, I'd recommend reporting the issue to Spotify's Customer Support team here (as is also recommended in the support article).
Feel free to also read more about reporting content on Spotify in this FAQ article, and let me know if you have any other questions.
Have a good day!
Adam,
I already reported the issue to the support team (about 2 months ago) and to the customer service site (today) No help so far. The rep asked me to post here and said he would forward the issue on his end.
Hi @rojimy1123,
Thank you for your reply!
Since you’ve already been in touch with Customer Support, I’d next suggest reaching out to Spotify’s Artist support team instead.
Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!
The artist support page was not helpful. The bot sent me to the content support form which asked me to make a claim on the page as if I was one of the 2 artists involved, which I am not.
Hi @rojimy1123,
Thank you for your patience!
Since you were directed to the Community, can you send the URIs of the content you’re reporting and maybe other sources to back up your report (such as Wikipedia or Bandcamp), so that I can pass this info on to the team in charge?
I can only pass on your feedback, and it will be reviewed by the relevant team, but I can’t confirm if or when the issue will be corrected.
Let me know if you have any other questions, and have a good day!
