Can't login on desktop app

My Question or Issue

I wanted to download the desktop app from Spotify, instead of using it in the browser. So I did that and all worked fine until the login. It asks to login in the browser, which works fine. It then says (in the browser) that the authorisation worked and I can close the winow now. But when I return to the desktop app, nothing happened, I'm still not logged in. All I can do is try again, but it doesn't work every time. I had the same problem on my PC which is on Winows 10 I think.
Has anyone got any idea how to solve this?

Are you trying to use the version of Spotify downloaded from the Spotify website, or from the Microsoft Store?
