Cannot browse to spotify on windows

Cannot browse to spotify on windows

I am attempting to login to the spotify.com website on windows in order to sign up for premium as this cannot be done through the app.

Accessing spotify.com forwards me to https://open.spotify.com/ which sits indefinitely before ending at a white screen without loading.

Attempting to access https://accounts.spotify.com shows 3 dots, but never takes me to a login screen.

I have tried using firefox, chrome, and edge, all with the same result.
I have also added spotify and all subdomains to my exception list without being able to get the page to load.

I have tried both windows 10 and 11, multiple PCs, multiple internet connections, and with all firewalls disabled all with the same result.

I also have fully disabled all antivirus software on the PCs, including the native built in firewall and antivirus provided by Microsoft.

 

I appreciate any suggestions anyone can offer.  I've been an IT professional for 26 years, and this is the first time in a long time I cannot seem to get something as basic as accessing a web site to happen.

Thanks for posting this thread in the Community and for sharing what you've already tried. It's really helpful.

 

Could you test directly via the subscription link https://www.spotify.com/premium/ possibly on another device? Test on your mobile device for example if it's possible.

 

If you could give this a try on your phone, you could also try with mobile data instead of WiFi to see if the link would load there.

I am having the same issue here as well.  the only difference is my wife is just trying to login to her computer and spotify's website won't pull up, same as the person above where it is either just a white screen that doesn't load anything or is a black screen with 3 dots in the middle but don't even pull up the website.  the PC with the issue is a windows 10 computer and samsung S23 ultra. On the PC we have cleared browser cache, tried other other browsers (Chrome, Edge), ipconfig /flushdns , restarted the computer, turned off firewall/antivirus, put spotify.com as an exemption in antivirus, PC is hardwired and still nothing is working.  she uses it everyday and this is day 3 of not being able to get in.  we installed the spotify desktop app but to login it takes you to the not working website to login!  please help.

It randomly started working today even though I changed nothing.  Really strange, but I'll take it 🙂
