Minor bug in "About Spotify" pop-up window

Minor bug in "About Spotify" pop-up window

If you open "About Spotify" from top left menu - pop-up window appears with text "Spotify () for Windows". I do not know what should be in "()", apparently some additional app identifier.

The app is installed directly from the Spotify website and not from the Microsoft Store.

This minor bug annoyed me from the very beginning of using the Windows version of the app. I hope that the developers can easily fix it, because it does not look complicated.

Hey @Mikhail94

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. We hope you don't mind us moving your post out of the ideas section to one of our Help boards, as it fits better here.

We appreciate the report you're making about this. To make sure it is not related to some damaged cache stored on your device, we'd recommend first performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps in this article.

If the issue persists, would you mind checking if the version downloaded from the Microsoft Store works fine?

We'll be on the lookout.

Hi. Please pass this bug report to developers. Because the official Spotify website offers *exe installer first, not MS Store version.

Probably in the desktop version of the app developers simply forgot to specify the necessary identifier (which should appear in "()" ), so the bug will be easy to fix.
