Downtime February 4, 2025: Audiobooks top ups not working

Hey,

 

We're receiving reports from customers who purchase audiobooks top ups, but their listening time doesn't start over.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! Just make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

It's incredibly frustrating to have a book stop half way through w no warning. But it's even more annoying to drop $70 on 50hrs top up credits and it doesn't even work or sync with my account. The above answer doesn't solve anything.

Do we have an idea of when we can expect this issue to be fixed? I commute over 2 hours a day and enjoy listening to an audiobook on my drive. I purchased the top up this morning when I got into my car and it still isn't working!

Purchased a top up for the first time this morning in preparation for my 2+ hour commute. How frustrating that I'm not getting what I paid for and am very discouraged from ever buying top ups again.

I just bought a top up yesterday so I'm confused as to why it's not working now

The top up hours I purchased this morning are now showing up in my account, but I still can't listen to my audiobook. I still get a prompt that says I'm out of hours and to buy more. Anyone else?

It appears to be working now for me.

Spent 2 hrs w tech support w no success. They told me they refunded me but that still hasn't landed in my account. So now I'm 2 hrs and $70 out of pocket and still no way to listen to audiobooks. Made a big mistake leaving Audible for Spotify... All these "Included in Premium" tags on audiobooks are misleading, they're not "included", they're possible. Very disappointed.
