Issues with offline downloads on Android and Desktop

We're aware of ongoing issues with offline content on Android and Desktop, which cause downloads to fail: an exclamation mark image (1).png is displayed (instead of a green check mark image (3).png ), indicating that the action was unsuccessful.

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

 

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed. Just make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

Hey folks,

 

Our tech team is working on a fix. We'll keep you posted here as soon as we have any new info to share, stay tuned! In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify.

 

Something you can try (if you haven't already) is force-stopping the app on Android once or twice to see if that does the trick.

Why has my Spotify account be disabled after subscription??

Bom dia equipe, meu Spotify(Premium) não baixa as músicas da playlist automaticamente, eu ponho para baixar, espero horas, e após preciso ir selecionando musica por música para ela ficar salva no meu dispositivo, e isso demanda tempo, o que faço?

Still getting failed downloads on android latest version on pixel 7 Pro. Version of Spotify is 8.9.30.433. still getting lots of failed downloads, even when connected to WiFi with no VPN. Also having a drama with trying to add tracks to a playlist. Certain songs when I click on the three buttons to add to a playlist ect, it just displays a grey bar at the bottom of the screen, look a little bit like an app draw that hasn't fully opened.

I've been unable to access my downloads correctly for over 2 months now. I have an email chain approaching 100 messages with your customer service and I've received no assistance whatsoever. All you've done done is blame my device, my library, and using a VPN (which makes no sense for offline playback!) I've asked you to provide me with an older (functioning) version of the app and you have refused.

 

When are you actually going to do anything to fix this issue?

I'm experiencing the same issue. I have songs downloaded but there either grey'd out or don't load (shows the circle and doesn't load says failure). I've tried the solutions but it still persists and I've been a premium user for years. This is getting monotonous.

I have a similar issue where local songs that I have synced to my android phone from PC via Spotify won't play after I close and reopen the android app. Spotify correctly downloads the songs and I can see the songs on my phone (weirdly in the local storage and not sd card, even though I have set the setting to download songs to sd card (I've tried manually moving them to sd card, but that didn't fix it. Setting the download location to local storage didn't fix it either)), but as soon as I close the app, the next time I open it, Spotify won't play the songs and they're greyed out.
