Hi there @jabezmarie,
Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to the Spotify Community!
As we haven't been able to reproduce the issue on our end, we'd need some more info to check what's causing it. You mentioned this happening with albums and singles, does it occur with playlists as well? Can you also check if it's the same in the Web Player?
It's also a good idea to ask someone to log in their account on one of your devices to see if they experience the same issue. This way we can double-check if it's account-related. Performing a clean reinstall is also worth it to make sure you're running the newest version and to clear any corrupted cache.
We'd really appreciate it if you can also send us a screen recording showing this issue, so that we can have a closer look. If the file is too large to attach, you can upload it to Google Drive (make sure to allow general access to the file) or as an unlisted YouTube video.
Keep us posted.
I am having the same issue on a Galaxy s23, started recently. I tried the clean reinstall as suggested but the problem persists. It is untenable and making spotify borderline unusable.
Here is a screen recording-

Hey @jabezmarie & @Jtp291,
Thank you for reporting this!
In order for us to further investigate why the issue is occurring we'd like to know these details:
Much appreciated!
The device in the screen recording is a Galaxy S23 running android 14 with spotify version 8.9.94.470.
It is also happening on a Galaxy S21 ultra running spotify version 8.9.42.575.
Hey @Jtp291,
Thanks for the additional info.
This has been forwarded to our tech team. We'll let you know in this thread once we have any updates.
Cheers,
Hey there folks,
Thanks for all your replies here.
We'd like to check, are you still experiencing this on your side? It'd be awesome if you could check. If yes, please send us:
Keep us in the loop!
Yes, it still occurs using 9.0.12.567 on a Galaxy S23 running Android 14
It is however not happening with 9.0.10.408 on an iPhone 13 running iOS 18.1.1, that one is working correctly.
