My Question or Issue

In the "reply" input field for some threads, there's a "placeholder" text that informs the user why you cannot reply to the thread. Only part of this text is visible to the user.

Example: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Archived-Chat/Shriekback-early-work/m-p/4657268

Visible text:

"Sorry, either you cannot reply to this topic or you have not verified your email address by clicking on the verification link in the email we sent you when you registered. If you did not "

The full text:

"Sorry, either you cannot reply to this topic or you have not verified your email address by clicking on the verification link in the email we sent you when you registered. If you did not receive an email from us, or need us to resend it, please visit your User Profile page."

Please increase the input field size so the entire text can be visible to the user.

Hey @turbolego,

Thanks for the info 🙂

Hey @turbolego 🙂

This should be now fixed.

Could you please check if everything is working as expected again?

Keep us posted.

I've experienced that problem too, but on a different thread. Do I not have the proper priveleges or is the topic closed?

Hi @WorldQuestioner,

It's possible that the thread was archived, meaning it cannot be accessed anymore by regular users. Could you send us the link to it so we can have a look?

Cheers!

Hey @WorldQuestioner,

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the information shared.

The link you've sent is from a tread that is currently Archived. This Status makes the thread inaccessible for regular users and comments cannot be added.

We'd recommend searching for other threads with similar topics if you get that error message again in the future.

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.
