Bug: Live-Events "Interested" tab does not list all events I'm interested in (web and desktop)

Solved!

Bug: Live-Events "Interested" tab does not list all events I'm interested in (web and desktop)

My "Interested" Live-Events tab lists 9 shows. Some shows are missing. The view is the same for Spotify Web and Spotify Linux Desktop (1.2.31.1205). Spotify on Android shows 12 shows in the Live-Events "Saved" tab.

The recent build (3 day ago) seems to have fixed it. The interested event lists are now equal on mobile and desktop apps.

Hey @delae,

Thanks for reaching out!

We tried reproducing this on our end but everything worked as expected.
With this in mind, I'd recommend logging out of the desktop app and back in twice in a row to trigger a manual sync of all your settings. If this doesn't help out, see if clearing the cached data would make a difference.
Should this fix the issue on the desktop app, log in to the Web player and verify how many events would get displayed there.

Much appreciated! We'll be on the lookout for your response 🙌🏼

Hi Vasil,

I had to set up a new Linux machine yesterday. I installed a fresh new Spotify installation (same version number) on that machine. Same effect. Live Events / Interested shows only 9 shows. I added one more today. This event shows up in the "interested" view, but it is still only 9 (a different event disappeared from the list). Spotify for Android shows 13 events now, as it is supposed to.

Hey @delae,

Thanks for the response!

Do you by any chance have a relative or a friend that sees more shows in the Interested section of Live Events on their device (PC)? It'd be great if you could check with them and log into your account on their device to see how things would look like for you.

If you do this, it'd be helpful if you could also send us the device model and OS-version.

Thanks and we'll be on the lookout 🙂

Hi Ivelina,

no I have no such friend. But I have several devices on which I can test. Here are the results:

Showing 9 saved shows:

Spotify Desktop Linux (1.2.31.1205)

Spotify Web Firefox Linux

Spotify Web Chrome Linux

Spotify Desktop Windows (1.2.33.1042)

Spotify Web Chrome Windows

Showing 13 saved shows:

Spotify Android (8.9.24.633)

Spotify iOs (8.9.19.571)

The picture is clear: web and desktop apps are affected independent of the platform. Mobile apps are not affected, independent of the platform. Looking at the version similarities those are two independently developed products. It is clear where to look for the bug.

Thanks for all additional info @delae!

So that we can have a closer look and investigate this further, would you mind letting us know the versions of the operating systems you're using as well?

It would be great if you could include screenshots or videos showing how things look from your end, both on mobile and desktop. Feel free to mention which device it's captured from, as this will help us navigate more easily.

We'll keep an eye out for your reply!

Seriously? I'm proving that it is independent of OS and you still want the OS version? Well, fine. It's Windows 11, latest patches applied, and most recent Manjaro Linux (has no version number, as it is a rolling release distribution).

Here are the screenshots (two mobile screenshots, as I had to scroll):

Hey @delae,

Thanks for the reply!

We understand your point here and when we troubleshoot an issue, we have to exhaust all possible steps connected to a certain aspect so that we can move forward in the correct way. Keep in mind that Linux is not officially supported by Spotify, so we can't always guarantee prefect functionality. With that in mind, we need to know the set up you're using for further investigation with our tech team, and we've made sure to forward the details you've mentioned so far.

We will keep you posted here!

Great to hear @delae!

It's looking better from our end as well.

Have fun at the shows. Cheers!
