Can Spotify Connect work with a SONY UHP-H1 Universal Player?

There is an app on the Sony UHP-H1 player for wireless connection between a cell phone app Spotify instance and the player; however,  on when live on the same home network, the Spotify phone app (same is true of desktop Windows app) does not see the Sony as a connectable device. I wanted to try flowing through the UHP-H1 to see if any difference to the sound quality, since it has a pretty good DAC inside. Anyone have any tips?

If your  SONY UHP-H1 is on the same internet network as your smartphone and both have the Spotify app installed, you should be able to use Connect. That way you can use the Spotify app on your iPhone as a remote control for the player. You can find out more about how Connect works here. If these features doesn't work as expected, it's a good idea to perform a clean reinstall using the steps in this guide. If any corrupted files are causing the malfunction, they'll get removed.
