My Question or Issue

I want to connect my spotify to my tiktok as listed in this article: https://support.spotify.com/bw/article/tiktok-and-spotify/

but i don’t have the music option in my tiktok and i can’t seem to find an option anywhere online either.

As i read the article multiple times and did exactly what it says it still doesn’t work.

Have you set Spotify as your default streaming service on TikTok? You can do this the first time you use the new feature by tapping “Add Song” in the main TikTok feed and selecting Spotify, or under the Settings page on TikTok under Music.

 

If you don't see the option on your end, make sure your Spotify and TikTok mobile apps are updated to the latest version. It's also worth performing a clean reinstall of both apps.

I’ve had a similar issue connecting my Spotify to TikTok, and it was super frustrating! What worked for me was making sure both apps were fully updated, as sometimes features can be hidden if you’re not on the latest version. I also checked the TikTok settings again to see if the music option was there after the update.

Hey. I'm having the exact same issue. Both apps are up to date. I even uninstalled and reinstalled them and it didn't help. I still can't connect Spotify and TikTok. There is no music tab on tiktok and on Spotify tiktok has no permissions granted at all. I don't know how to fix this.

If something isn't as described in there or you can't find the steps, please send us some screenshots of what you see so that we can take a closer look for you.

I was just reading this article earlier. I have done all the steps listed there. I am logging out. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both apps. These are the most up to date versions of both apps. Additionally, on tiktok I don't have a music button in the settings at all. When I want to save music there is no Spotify button. In Spotify settings there is no option to add permissions for tiktok and in tiktok there is also no option to add permissions for Spotify. I don't know what to do anymore....

We understand you’ve already tried some troubleshooting steps including reinstalling, but to be sure that we're on the same page - did you use the steps for a clean reinstall mentioned in this article?

 

Also, in order to make sure that this behavior is not device-related, would you mind trying on a different device (using your own accounts on both apps) to see if it makes any difference? If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or family member to test it out. 


Lastly, include in your next response the make, model, and OS version of your device, along with the Spotify version you're currently running.
