Edguy album "Theater of Salvation"

Edguy album "Theater of Salvation"

Hi,

Listening to the Edguy's classic album "Theater of Salvation" gives me an impression that it comes from a scratched and corrupt CD.

For instance, track 2 "Babylon" presents audible cracks in sound. Is this an issue with my connection or is the track really defective?

Hey @PjorAgur! Thanks for coming to the community!

That's not cool! Could you send over the track URI? Also, what Spotify and OS version are you rocking? Let me know!

Take care! 🙂

Hey @PjorAgur!

Hmm, the track sounds fine over here! Could you try to find and play the track using the Web Player? Let me know how it goes!

Take care! 🙂

Hello,

I must confess - after a long time - that the track we discussed about sounds fine over the web player.

Thank you for your help!

Hey!

Alright, and the desktop app still doesn't sound right?

Thanks, have a great day!

Hey!

Exactly the same problems still occur within the desktop app, jumping and stuttering in the sound.

Hey @PjorAgur!

Alright, could you try these steps:

  1. Exit Spotify
  2. Go to C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Spotify
  3. Delete the "data" folder
  4. Open Spotify

How does the song sound now?

Take care!

Hey,

Even after clearing my local hard disk cache the track remained corrupt.

Honestly, I am perfectly happy with the web player. It is only this certain album "Theater of Salvation" which ever has been problematic.

I appreciate your help and we can consider this case closed. I am looking forward to re-upgrade my account to premium.

Thanks!

Peter
