How can I delete this list at the top of the app's main page

Window, android, ios... every spotify app has this some list at the top area.

How the heck can i delete those contents?

it's not even my recently or frequently playlist.

That Chicago Album i've listened once like few months ago.

it's bugging me. pls help.

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. 

Sometimes you can see recommendations even if you don't regularly listen to that content. Even though it's not possible to manually remove them from your Home screen, they should disappear after some time. In the meantime, keep listening to your favorite artists and playlists to keep receiving recommendations that better adapt to your taste and listening habits.

You can also leave a +Vote on this idea that asks for the possibility to customize the Home Screen.

I didn't search for it. It just suddenly appear on my home page.

this is ridiculous that you can't get rid of this stuff off of your home page. I have the same problem and the main issue is that my Alexa device displays it as well since I play Spotify from that device.

How is this acceptable to you?  People here are complaining about explicit content being pushed to them against their wishes and how their children are being exposed to it?  How are you morally and ethically comfortable with this? Do any of you have a soul?

Yeah this is some bull. A friend got me tickets to a gig for a band I didn't know a lot about, so I listened to them once for about an hour. Didn't really like them, never mind. Not liked any songs, not followed, not liked an album or anything.  Now months later on every device they are there. 3 podcasts I subscribe to and then this one artist in my home screen. I've listened to them for 0.0000001% of my 10 years on Spotify and they are there and I cant get rid of them.  Just admit you get kickbacks from certain record labels to promote content or something.  Terrible app behaviour.

This is not an acceptable answer. I have the same stupid freaking albumcover there for MONTHS now and its not anything I would listen to. Everytime I open the app, no matter on which device I al always  see that explicit coverart. How the **bleep** can you just say meh go vote here if you feel strongly about it and call that a solution? Why does spotify always do these weird things? You do nothing  but annoy your paying users with**bleep** like this.

This is terrible design and does speak to some kind of revenue model for Spotify, because having been in software development for almost 30 years this fix would take someone an hour to do, including testing - this is a database flag and some html work.  It is so freaking annoying that this artist I've never listened to plays everytime my app starts up in my car - and the content is offensive and I should the ability to block it.

I love this service but the fact that Spotify doesn't let you customize your own home screen and the moderators haven't known their product well enough to recommend an actual solution with reasoning drove me nuts... 

Here's an actual solution and why I think it works:

- Go to your saved playlists

- Figure out which of your saved playlists have the most number of songs that you've "Liked" 

- Play at least between 5-7 full songs in a row without skipping or fast forwarding of each of those playlists (aim for 2 or 3 playlists) with a high number of "Liked" songs 

- You'll see the playlists on your homescreen reshuffle and eventually remove the playlist that you no longer want there

It seems that Spotify prioritizes playlists that have a higher number of songs you've "Liked". This worked for me - it should work for you. You're welcome!

please for the love of god let us remove or block playlists from the home page. It’s the first thing you see when you open the app, and my little sister used my account by accident like over 5 months ago. She only listened to the dazzlings a few times before I realised and removed her from mine and put her back onto her own. No matter how many playlists I listen to, how long I listen to them, even if the dazzling dare off my Home Screen. IT COMES BACK. IM GETTINF TEASED BY MY MATES IM 17 AND A GUY PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL LIFE LET US BLOCK OR REMOVE PLAYLISTS/ARTISTS FROM THE HOME PAGE. OR AT LEAST LET US DELETE SONGS OFF OF OUR HISTORY. I use Spotify daily and listen to at least 2 hours of music per day. So surely it cannot be as simple as listening to more of my fave music. AGAIN it’s been 5 months since she listened to A FEW songs. Pls I beg change it, I’m so embarrassed and it makes me want to not use Spotify.
