How do I open subscribed content on a podcast

I have a paid subscription to a podcast that allows access to extra content. When I pull up the episodes they are still locked. I reached out to podcast and they show I am a paid subscriber and my issue is through Spotify

Thanks for reaching out and apologies for the late reply.

To access the content you've paid for you need to authenticate your account by clicking on Open on Spotify in the email you received after you made your payment.

I have a paid Spotify plan and I have a paid subscription to a podcast but no matter how many times I click the button to connect my subscription to Spotify it wont permit me to listen to the content and keeps saying "Link a Patreon account to Spotify" and then it loads Spotify again but it is still locked.

The podcast is True Crime Obsessed

I’ve got a paid subscription to the locked podcast Waking Up. I’ve clicked on link to podcast and linked it, gone back into Spotify. It’s still locked. Tried coming out, closing Spotify, won’t work.

Any suggestions?

By the way, why can’t I contact Spotify and come on here? What a ridiculously bureaucratic way of sorting out an app.
