I can’t get my account to link with Alexa/Echo Dot

My Question or Issue

I’m trying to link my account with my alexa. I go into the app, clink link put in my details and every time it just says “oops, something went wrong. Please try again” nothing on the help pages has helped. I’ve reinstalled both apps, changed my password. Rebooted the echo. Deactivated the echo completely and then re set it up. I’ve run out of things to try!

We suggest following the steps below to unlink your Spotify account from the Alexa:

1. Click on Settings in the Echo app to unlink a Spotify account. 
2. You'll be asked to confirm you want to unlink your account.

Once you've unlinked it, try linking it again to the speaker. 

If that doesn't help, make sure you reach out to Amazon. The folks there can take a look and help you further.
