Hey there @Jfishhooks1,
Thanks for getting in touch about this here in the Community.
Just to confirm, is this happening with all lyrics or only with a specific one?
On another note, could you check if the firmware of your Roku TV is up to date?
Additionally , we suggest that you unplug the router and the TV from the power supply > wait about a minute and then plug the router back into the power supply > wait until it starts transmitting a signal and plug the TV back in.
Keep us posted on how it goes.
Hello Eni,
This happens with All lyrics. Roku firmware is up to date. I have now performed the suggested steps re: unplugging the TV and router from power supply, etc. I still have the same issue. The lyrics sink properly for about 30 seconds and then go Haywire. What next? (and by the way thank you for this advice for starters)
Hi @Jfishhooks1,
Thanks for the reply. Could you please provide us the following:
With this information, we’d be happy to investigate.
Keep us posted.
Exactly the same issue. Just as described. Some songs totally haywire. The rest good for about 30 seconds to a minute before the lag sets in.

My Question or Issue
- Korean lyrics are often illegible on the Roku app because the font is too bold.
- Lyrics aren't quite time-synced properly all the time on the Roku app
- Korean characters sometimes don't show up on playlist titles in the Roku app
I also have this issued it’s annoying and I did all the troubleshooting steps it still happens
Hi! I have the same issue, the only difference is the device. In my case I have a Roku Premiere. It's been a couple of months this issue started, before that the syncing was pretty good.
BTW, Roku firmware is up to date and unplugging / re-plugging didn't work.
Is there anything else we can do? When do you expect to solve this issue? Lyrics syncing is a great, useful feature, in my opinion.
Thanks!
Hey there folks,
Thanks for reporting this on the Community!
This have been passed on to our tech folks and this is currently being looked into.
In the meantime, we recommend keeping your Spotify app up-to-date to guarantee you get the latest features and fixes as soon as we launch them.
Cheers!
We have this problem as well. I don’t think it’s an issue with Spotify alone because when we only play music on our phones it works fine. It’s only when we connect our iPhones to the TCL Roku that the lyrics are usually 3-5 lines ahead of the music.
Also, it hasn’t always done this. Started around 6 months ago.
have the problem too

My Question or Issue
BTW, Roku firmware and Spotify are to date and unplugging / re-plugging didn't work.
There is a similar topic but regarding other device, the TCL Roku TV so I had to create a diifferent topic. BTW, I commented on that one a few weeks ago, but I created this topic to be sure the issue on Roku Premiere is being reported since it's been a while the issue started.
Is there anything else we can do? When do you expect to solve this issue?
Thanks a lot!
I hate this. It needs to be resolved immediately. Every time it happens, I have to re sync it by starting the song over and that annoys me because it ruins the excitement of the song i’m listening to.
I have this exact problem. So far I've seen the issue on two of my TVs. One is an older Roku stick and the other is a very new Roku Ultra. I use my Spotify Premium account when I run on the treadmill and always have the lyrics displayed. I tend to view many of the same songs for my 1+ hour runs almost every day. The lyrics used to be syned quite good on almost all songs. In the past few months they have gotten worse and worse. I have also noticed that the same song will display different issues on different days. For instance, "Pour Some Sugar On Me" a few days ago was pretty much a full screen ahead on the lyric syncing within a few seconds into the song, then yesterday that same song was only about two lines ahead for most of the song. It seems to be no rhyme or reason why this occurs. I've been looking at Reddit sites, the MusixMatch site, and other forums but have found no answers. Then today I tried putting Spotify on my PC and watching the lyrics and they seemed to be synced perfectly. So it does seem to be a Roku issue. I hope this is fixed soon. Treadmill running is hard enough without getting dizzy trying to distract myself with lyrics that don't make sense!

I'm experiencing the same problem.
I have my crossfade on 6s. When the song gets to the last 6s the page goes to the new song and lyrics immidiately start, and on my laptop i see that it's already started, but on my Roku it's still playing the previous song until the end, so when it gets to the new song the lyrics are already 6s ahead.
Also when playing the first song (no previous crossfade) the lyrics randomly jump like 30 seconds ahead.
I just tested again and at 0:38 of the song it randomly skipped to 1:10. The audio on the TV is still at 0:38, but on my laptop, on the tv and the lyrics are at 1:10. very very annoying. I have to seek on my laptop for it to sync. and i have to that every song.
It also happens on Samsung TV with Tinzen OS (I don't know if I spelled that correctly). The first song in queue is in sync, but the next one is one line ahead, second is two lines ahead and it goes on.
I've been having this issue for a while. If you're listening on Roku using a session on your phone, you can double tap the correct lyrics on your phone. The song will skip slightly but then the lyrics will be correct. It's a shitty fix but it's working consistently for me for now.
Same issue. Phone and PC are fine. Roku TVs are off. Song doesn't matter. Lyrics often 1-2 lines ahead of the actual song. Super annoying.
Hi María! Any news about the resolution of this issue? It's been almost three months since the report was passed on to the technical team. Still no update with the fix was released, at least in Roku Premier. Thanks!

Every song. The time slider jumps from ~30 seconds to ~57 seconds. Are there any updates on a fix for this bug?
