Hello,
I'm using Spotify on the mobile app and I'm having a problem that I can't solve. Maybe the community can help me?
I get notifications for every new episode of podcasts I subscribed to in the past, despite unsubscribing from them a long time ago.
1. Last year I subscribed to many podcasts that I wanted to listen to
2. I don't have time to follow them anymore, I unsubscribed from all the podcasts
3. I turned off notifications in spotify settings.
4. But I always get notifications when a new episode of a podcast comes out.
I already tried to resubscribe to the podcast before unsubscribing again, I uninstalled the app, cleared cache and data before reinstalling spotify, but the problem persists.
The only solution I have found is to block all notifications from the spotify app in my phone settings. It works but deprives me of other notifications that might interest me.
Does anyone know how to help me? It would be really great 🙂
Plan Premium, France, iPhone SE, iOS 16.0.3

Hey @Fealera,
Thank you for reaching out here in the Community and for the troubleshooting you've done so far!
It'd also be a good idea to log out of all of the devices where you're logged in, restart them and then log back in two times in a row. It sounds a bit odd, but it forces a sync between the account and your device.
In case the issue persists, it'd be great if you could tell us the exact Spotify version you're currently running. If you don't know how to check it-go to this FAQ.
Hope this helps. Let us know how you get on.

Good evening Lyubka,
Thank you very much for your answer. I tested the solution of forcing a sync between the account and your device by logging out of all my devices multiple times, and it seems to have worked for now.
Thank you very much !

I appreciate you offering a workaround for this issue, but I must say, that solution is fairly inconvenient, and this is clearly a bug that should be addressed. Was this submitted as a bug for the Spotify development team to address? I am experiencing this issue now, after having moved all of my podcast subscriptions over to Google Podcasts (I got frustrated with Spotify's podcast navigation functionality). I still use Spotify, but it's annoying to keep getting these subscription notifications, and I don't see a notification channel/category just for the Podcast subscription notifications, so there's no way AFAIK to turn just those off.
The team has to come up with a solution. This is very annoying. I am still receiving notifications for the podcasts I have unsubscribed from.
Just recently after Google announced they will be killing their Podcasts app I thought about migrating to Spotify for podcasts but the experience was indeed poor and I moved back to Google Podcasts (until it dies completely).
Now, I have unsubscribed from all the podcasts but I am still receiving notifications. I have tried almost everything. This seems to be a glitch because previously I subbed to one of the Spotify exclusive podcasts and after the podcast was available on other Podcasts streaming apps I unsubbed from Spotify and didn't receive any notification further.
You have to lookup on this glitch, bug whatever it is, it is annoying.
I'm currently having the same issue on Android, so it's not just the iphone version and it still hasn't been fixed after a year.
I'm having this problem for a second time. There used to be an area under settings, I think...you could go I to that and stop notifications from ubsubbed podcasts.
