Multiple Spotify accounts with Google Home software controlling multiple homes

Multiple Spotify accounts with Google Home software controlling multiple homes

I'm using Google Home on my phone to run two different houses - mine and my mother's. Each has its own Google Home or Google Nest speaker for music. My mother and I each have our own Spotify account.

Is there a way to configure Spotify and Google Home so that it knows about both accounts? Right now it insists on using my Spotify account for both houses, which would be fine - we're paying for both accounts regardless - but any time she asks to listen to music through her Nest, it shuts off whatever I'm playing.

Hey @Irrelevant24601,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

To use your Spotify account with your Google Home/Nest device, you need to link your Spotify account with your Google account. Taking this into account, you can use the Google Voice Match feature of your device to add a different Google account to it which you can then link to another Spotify account. You can find more info about Google voice match here.

If you need more info about how to link a Google account with a Spotify account, we'd recommend checking out this article.

Hope this helps. If anything else comes up, don't hesitate to ask.
