Name dissapeared?

Was looking at Spotify and noticed how my friend no longer has his name as his username, but his actual account name now as "screen name" or what to call it. My first thought was me being blocked. But that's for social media and not this. So what could that be?

Your Spotify account includes a username, as well as a display name. Usernames are created automatically by the system for security reasons. That’s why they consist of random numbers and letters. This has the advantage that several users can use the same display name. The display name, on the other hand, is the one you and everyone else on Spotify see.
