My Question or Issue
When I open up my Spotify (web browser or app) I can't open up any of my playlists because it either says sorry an error occurred or it says it couldn't find that playlist to any of my playlists and because of theater it won't play any music at all. I've restarted the app, I've restarted my device. I just don't know what to do anymore. Any suggestions?
Hey @deadgirlwalking, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵
Could you please try these steps to see if the issue persists:
- Disable any VPN or DNS service if it’s active.
- Try using a different browser, incognito mode, or a mobile device.
- Create a new account and see if you can open playlists with it.
Please let me know how it goes. Also, include your Spotify app version and device information, such as the software or browser version. 🙂

My Question or Issue
Spotify has been broken on my Chromebook ever since its battery died once and the site keeps giving me errors when I'm on my home page, profile, a playlist, or any artist page. I tried logging out and logging back in again and this problem is still affecting my spotify. The only thing that works for me is the search function, which is how I am currently using Spotify to play music as of now. When I look at any playlist, it keeps telling me that the playlist doesn't exist, and when I'm trying to add a song to a playlist, spotify makes it look like as if I don't have any playlists at all so that I cant add anything to playlists. Is there any way I could fix this?
So anytime I go on spotify for the last couple days it wont let me go to my playlists, find artists or go to profiles. It keeps giving me the same message Something Went Wrong. Even the Home menu says this. If someone can help me with this it would be very appreciated.
Update: I got Spotify to work like normal again after a friend suggested me to clear my cache. They were originally referring to spotify cache but I cleared my browser's cache and when I checked spotify, everything was back and I could finally do everything that previously gave me an error normally.
Hey , thanks for the tips. I don't have a mobile device, my admin doesn't allow incognito mode and I have a chrome os. I tried my other account and that worked, then I switched back to my other account and that worked, but only for a little bit. When I closed my Chromebook and logged into next, whether from the lock screen, or from the sign into your account screen, it would give me the exact same issue. This account has all of my music on it, and I can't access it long enough to transfer it to my second account, which only has on playlist. Any other tips?
This is my other Spotify account
