My Question or Issue

Podcast episodes keep playing silence after the time has run out instead of playing the next episode in que and/or playlist. The last one I listened to played an extra 3 mins of silence before I manually swiped to the next episode, but then the app froze that episode as "playing" with no sound or time counting. This has been occurring for 3 to 4 days. The attached image shows another episode having gone an additional minute and 30 seconds (it continued while I wrote this post).

Hi there @bandjo,

Thanks for the reaching out about this in the Community!

This issue is being currently investigated by the right teams at Spotify.

It would be great if you can share your exact Android version and Spotify app version here, so that we can pass it on to the team working on fixing this 🙂

To check your Android version:

  1. Open your device's Settings.
  2. Tap About Phone or About Device.
  3. Tap Android Version to display your version information.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Hi Alex, thanks for getting in touch with me about this. I have:
Android 8.1.0 and
Spotify version 8.6.52.911.

However, I logged out of my account and logged back in earlier today and
that seemed to fix the problem.
I'll be sure to try this again if I have an issue in the future.

Thank you.

I'm having the exact same problem -- on my iPhone.
