Random song played that’s not even on any of my playlists

Now running app version 8.9.76.516 and getting weird random glitches again. Not noticing any reshuffles in my queue, but twice this week, when I connected to bluetooth, after playing the current, selected song from my current playlist for 15-20 seconds, all of a sudden it played a random song that I listened to days ago that’s not even in ANY of my playlists. Very very strange.

Now, we'd suggest you make sure both your device and the app are up-to-date. It seems there is a new version of Spotify available for iOS devices, so go to your App Store, locate Spotify and make sure you're running the latest version.

On another note, it might be worth following the suggestions in this article for you to secure your account. If the issue persists afterwards, then we'd like to gather some additional info. Please send us:

• The make/model and OS of the affected device.
• The exact Spotify version you're running.
• Does this happen only when playing content through a Bluetooth device?
• Does this happen when playing some specific content?
