Hello,
I installed the spotify app on my Gear S2 and want to use it with spotify on my Sony Xperia Z3 compact. The problem is, that when I start the App on the watch, spotify opens up on the phone, but the watch says "Unable to start Spotify BT disconnected"
The devices are connected via Bluetooth.
Any Ideal?

Hi everyone:

I tried this in my Gear S3 Frontier but, It should work in all the Gear models, i guess.

Have you realized that when you try to use the "remote mode" with the smartwatch suddenly the spotify app tries to open up in the phone?

When we do this, the app is running in the background so, we can open the regular music app in the smartwatch and we will be able to control our spotify music from the watch via bluetooth.

I know is not the same, but it works till they will fix this fu**ing bug.

BTW, i have the same problem with a One Plus Three.

I've had the Bluetooth disconnected issues while trying to use remote mode. For months there were no problems then after switching phones I noticed the issue. One fix I found was turning off and on Bluetooth from the watch side under connections -> Bluetooth. Suddenly this fixed it despite reinstalling, restarting not working.

What kind of Gear S2 do you have? You need the latest Tizen update for Spotify to show up. T-Mobile just pushed out the latest software update for the S2 this morning.

Same here with OnePlus3. I only can hear music with my S3 Classic (latest Update) via "Stream over Wifi". When I try to get in Remote-Mode Spotify starts on my phone but i get a "Unable to Start Spotify - BT disconnected"-Error but BT IS connected. I hope it gets fixed...

I have the exact same problem with my Gear S3 Classic and HTC 10. When i try to change to Remote Mode, I just get a BT disconnected error.

Same problem on Gear S2 w/ Samsung Galaxy S6 edge. It was working great when I was in Mexico last week and now it only works in "Remote mode"

For those who have the problem in "Remote mode", it worked for me after i connected a BT Headset with my phone.
