Makes no difference to my phone if I have wired or bluetooth headphones connected or none at all.
Same problem with xperia z5.
I only have this problem when my bluetooth earphones are connected to my S7. If they´re not, I have no issues at all.
Same problem on OnePlus 3T, Monday runs ok on my LG G3 but yesterday when i change to my new OnePlus 3T the Gear S2 says all the time "Unable to start Spotify BT Disconnected"....
I have a Gear S2 and a OnePlus 3T
Ok guys... be ready for that?
Reply from spotify:
Thank you for confirming this information. It seems that the inconvenience is arising due to your Gear S2. In these cases, we recommend contacting Samsung technical support and consulting with them.
Reply from Samsung:
Being a non-Samsung device, we can not ensure full compatibility. We recommend contacting your device provider for more information.
That's amazing... Good luck! will be need 😉
Hi everyone:
I tried this in my Gear S3 Frontier but, It should work in all the Gear models, i guess.
Have you realized that when you try to use the "remote mode" with the smartwatch suddenly the spotify app tries to open up in the phone?
When we do this, the app is running in the background so, we can open the regular music app in the smartwatch and we will be able to control our spotify music from the watch via bluetooth.
I know is not the same, but it works till they will fix this fu**ing bug.
BTW, i have the same problem with a One Plus Three.
I confirm this for Gear S3 & OnePlus 3T
Same problem with Gear S2 Classic + Galaxy S7 Edge
Same problem here with my GS2 and S7. If i turn off my BT headphones, it works. As soon as I turn them on it gives the "BT Disconnected" error.
Workaround: While playing music on BT headphones, disconnect and then reconnect your Gear (i.e. turn on airplane mode and then back off on your Gear). When the Gear reconnects, Spotify works correctly.
At this point, it's easier to just pull out my phone... I hope this gets fixed soon.
Guys, I found out why it was happening. It was a problem with the internet dying and connect only via remote . However, it was that difficult to fix. There are few steps you must do in order to get you Gear S3 or S2 to work again with sporify. The issue is on the spotify app. I have to clear the cache on spotify on my phone. As soon as the cash was clear I logged off and backed on the app again . Check the Gear S3 and it was still disconnected, however when I pushed play on the watch it did reconnect and it is working fine now .
to clear the cache:
Open Spotify on the Phone
Got to +> Your Library
On the top Right (settings icon)
scroll down to the latest option
DELETE CACHE and save data
Thats it !
Thanks
doesn't work for me 😞
