Show the song lyrics on phones and computers

Hey Team, 

I'd love to be able to see the lyrics of the song i'm listening to so i can sing along if i want to. I can currently show music lyrics when listening on my TV but would love if the lyrics played on a screen whilst i listen on my phone. 

When i clean or cook i like to bring the lyrics up on the TV and have a home karaoke session, would be awesome to be able to do this on all my devices.

Thanks for reaching out on the Community! We hope you don't mind us moving your post, as it fits better here.

You should be able to see lyrics on both mobile devices, tablets and computers. Some other devices, such as smart TVs, may also display lyrics.

To view lyrics on your phone, just follow these steps:

1. Tap the Now playing bar at the bottom of the screen.
2. Scroll down to Lyrics.
3. Tap the lyrics for a full screen view.

You can also have a look at this page for more details on how lyrics work. There, you can also find steps on what to try next, should the lyrics still not appear for you.

My Question or Issue

Hi, I recently upgraded from free plan to a premium plan and the lyrics button came back but it is grayed out for every song. Ive reinstalled the app and everything but nothing seems to work

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Have you tried logging out and signing back in twice in a row? This will force a resync of the app that may help here. It's also worth checking if switching to a different network / mobile data does the trick. If you're using a VPN, I'd recommend toggling it off as well.

I try to turn on lyrics by clicking on the microphone, but the microphone is greyed out

I'm on Windows 10 and in Egypt if that helps
