Sinisterhood podcast will not play on Spotify App through the fire stick.

I can play the Sinisterhood podcast on my phone but when I use the firestick app it will not play and brings up other podcasts. I've uninstalled the app and everything. It's jist this one podcast that will not play.

This issue with the Firestick is commonly related to different accounts logged on your devices. In this case, we'd first recommend logging out and logging back in using the same credentials on both devices.

Also, make sure that the OS version of your device and the Spotify version you are currently running are up to date.

Lastly, if the issue persists, include in your next response a short video recording where we can see the issue (if possible), along with the details requested in this post by @Yordan. If you want to include the video, you can attach it to your next response by using the Insert Video option in the post editor, or upload it to Google Drive and share the link with us (make sure the video has the permissions for anyone to watch it).

Hello there!  I am running into the same issue!  I can play it on my phone (apple) but cannot play it on my work computer.  I can listen to other podcasts in the same genre without any issues, but when I click on Sinisterhood, any episode, it says, "Spotify cannot play this right now".  I have tried all of the solutions mentioned at the top to no avail.

If you're able to play the podcast on your phone, but not on your work computer, it's worth mentioning that if you're using a VPN on it this can cause different issues with the app's performance, as well as some content may be unavailable. That's why we don't usually recommend using a VPN with Spotify.

Thank you for this!  I'm confused because all other podcasts play on my work computer utilizing Spotify except Sinisterhood.  Is there something wrong with just that particular podcast?

This issue could be related to different factors when you're using a work computer, but since it is happening on a single device, it's most likely not related to the podcast itself, but to the computer you're trying to use. Keep in mind that work computers may have revoked permissions or some restrictions to certain processes that may affect the proper behavior of the app. Also, since you're using a VPN, it's possible that the podcast you're trying to listen to is not available in the region your VPN locates you in.

In this case, we'd recommend you keep listening to the show on your iPhone as it has no issues.
