My Question or Issue

Ever since updating to the latest firmare on my Yamaha RX-V4A A/V receiver, no matter from which device I'm broadcasting from (be it a laptop, phone, desktop), Spotify Connect skips almost all of the songs on its own after a few seconds, usually ranging from 20 to 40 seconds in, but sometimes even later. I've tried several "solutions" such as a factory resetting the receiver, reinstalling musiccast and its spotify plugin, the phone and computers' spotify apps, clearing cache, etc. to no avail. It wasn't happening before at all and now it has made trying to listen to music in my "audiophile" setup an extremely frustrating experience.
