My Question or Issue

I use same spotify account on my google home than on my phone.

The problem is I use Spotify at work on my phone and when my wife ask to any of my google home to put some music, it's stop my music on my phone.

Actually, as workaround, I ask her to cast from her phone with her account.

I suppose it's not a bug but a limitation, in this case can I add a new account in my familly for my Google Homes ?

Hey @rhuberty.

Thanks for getting in touch!

You'll need a second Google and a second Spotify account if you want to be able to use Spotify on your Google Home and on your personal device at the same time. Perhaps you could use your wife's Spotify account and create a Google account for her. But in that case she might be having the same issue that you are experiencing.

Using Spotify Connect the way your wife is doing now is a workaround for when you want to listen yourself and doesn't require additional accounts.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have further questions.

Have a nice day!

I am sufferring from the same issue right now with Amazon Echo. They now removed the command "Alexa, Spotify Connect", and there is no way to cast from a different account.
