Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this question but I couldn't find a fitting forum for this on this community.
I have just released a new single on Friday and after ranking up close to 2000 streams during the weekend, I suddenly could not check the stats for one of the songs in the Spotify for Artists app (Error code "Response status code was unacceptable: 403").
When logging into the Spotify For Artists web app, the track in question is greyed out. When I hover over its name, it says "the song is not part of your current catalogue". Also, its streams have dramatically decreased and the release date has been set to a date back in 2011.
As a backstory: the song was initially released on another artist's album back in 2011 (I produced the song for him). But it was also released separately by me later (with the artist's permission) under my name, so I do have all the rights to release it. And of course I'd like to release it on Spotify and benefit from the streams. Now my worry is that Spotify somehow merged it with the original upload from 2011 or something which I would consider not fair since its not the most uncommon thing that a song is released on two different releases.
I would truly appreciate if you could shed some light on this issue:-)
Kind Regards
Marcel

Hey @DITC2020, thanks for reaching out to the Community!
I'd recommend getting in touch with Spotify for Artists here. They'll take a look and do their best to help.
Keep in mind that because of the current situation, you may get a delayed response time so your patience would be appreciated.
Have a nice day!

The same thing just happened to me! I posted the song yesterday. Any luck with a solution?
Same thing happened to me
I am facing the same issue rn, any results you got !?
Does it mean that your song has been taken down?
Well, this thing happens to me with almost each of my releases. It's all ok for 1 or 2 months, then this bug appears. The music is still on Spotify, so it's not taken down. When I asked Spotify for help when it first appeared, they helped me and those songs are all ok since then. But then for every release after that, they didn't help at all - they told me several times that they see that there's some issue, asking me for sending some screenshots. When I do that, they never reply... So I write again through the web form and they again asked for some scvreenshots. I did it again,...and they didn't ever reply, again... So I wrote them again through the webform, telling that they alraedy have the screenshots (twice), so they don't have to ask me again for them. And their answer? They stated that they don't see any issue and there might be a trouble with my computer or my hands that this bug is what I see and is on the printscreens... And that I should try opening the page on another device, or in private session of the browser or with cookies deleted...and if the trouble would be still there, I should answer the guy. Well, I did those options many times before and I did them again. But as I expected, that didn't help, again. So I replied the guy to help me some other way, just like they solved the first issue. And...they never answered me back, again..! So after that I gave that thing up, just hoping that there will be some better music app in the future, throwing Spotify into forgotten. Since then I had 12 more releases and the bug appears again and again and again... It's annoying, but apparently Spotify doesn't even bother to fix it...
Same here I stg for me it’s anytime I have a a major featured artist which I had to pay good money for the feature only to get crapped on and plays stolen. Make it make sense Spotify!! Apple Music has no issues like this what so ever only Spotify.. I have reached out numerous times and it seems some of the ones doing that have been completely reset or erased instead of fixed. But that’s over 100k streams and makes no sense smh.
In the event someone else stumbles across this as I did. I had the same issue and I reached out to Spotify chat for help, they said my distributor (distrokid) updated some metadata and sent the song to the wrong artist profile page. They changed it back and should be updated back to the correct account in about 24-48 hours.
I noticed this for a couple of my album releases. The difficult part is finding out how to reach Spotify chat. I'm still looking.
I'm also having the same problem with my release...the streams are just decreasing randomly regardless of many people playing the song daily. The error message "This song is not part of your catalog" appears
same thing happened to my song knee surgery, I sampled a song for it and it said that I can't use it anymore.
