Static-X missing an album

Static-X missing an album

Hi there,

Not a request as such, but was just curious to know why there are all Static-X's albums on Spotify, except their best one - "Machine"

Is this a request on the labels part, or something else?

Cheers.

Hi, and welcome to the Spotify community!

Spotify takes a bit of time to index all the songs, and some songs/albums it hasn't got to yet. Give it some time, it should be indexed eventually.

If you have the album on a CD, you can always import it to Spotify as a local file, but please note this doesn't make it available to Spotify itself, it just means Spotify acts as the player for your local files.

Any content that has disappeared or been removed is normally down to the record label or rights holder. Sometimes content is removed due to licensing changes, transfer of ownership or due to a request from the content owner. Spotify make all content they have available to us, so anything which is missing is almost always down to the labels.

Hi again,

Just thought I'd bump this seeing as their Machine album still isn't on Spotify. Any info on whether it's been withheld by the content owners or that Spotify hasn't catalogued it?

Thanks

Hello, currently the Static-X release of Machine is available to these listening regions <territories>AD AR AT AU BE BG BO BR CA CH CL CO CR CY CZ DE DK DO EC EE ES FI FR GR GT HK HN HR HU IE IS IT LI LT LU LV MC MT MX MY NI NL NO NZ PA PE PH PL PT PY RO SE SG SI SK SV TR TW US UY</territories>

And here is the link to the release just in case your in a region where it is available currently spotify:album:3qbnM6ou43R4GEWcIHhzhS

darn, I'm in the UK.

Thanks for the info.

There is a way to do it to gain access to certain releases but I am not sure I can post how to though, not now as a Rock Star. Other Rock Stars do so as a test vehicle of the service if you ask nicely and are around enough maybe they will let slip how to do it?

It would be rather nice if the labels, artists, and their representatives would do away with region restrictions for music and movies as well, but everyone has to have their fingers in the pie all at once and muck things up for everyone. This is usually the problem, if a certain release was not release to a partner label or distributor in a certain region that release is restricted everywhere there is a service for music.
