Unlink from NYT account

TL:DR - Need to unlink my spotify from my NYT account.

Full - I signed up for the Spotify/NYT plan through the apple app store. I was able to link my Spotify to my NYT subscription no problem. Now, NYT has made me update my password and it turns out when I used the app store to sign up, the email address it used was one I don't have access to (school address that I no longer attend). Based on my experience with NYT support, it seems like the quickest/easiest route would be to unlink my spotify and sign up for a new NYT account, and then link those two. However, when I try it says that my spotify is already linked.

I've tried the following:

1) Sign out everywhere in spotify

2) Review linked accounts in spotify/permissions (didn't see NYT)

Is there a secret button I'm not seeing?
