My Question or Issue

The Sensus Spotify app in my Volvo XC90 stopped playing any music two days ago. I can browse music successfully but nothing will play. Tried log out and re-pair which I can do no problem but still no music plays. I also tried controlling with app on my phone but that doesn't work either. The screen just shows a spinning circle and I get the message Connecting...

I resolved the issue. I removed and resinstalled the Volvo Spotify app again and this didn't seem to change the behaviour. However when I then used the Android Spotify app on my phone to control the Volvo Spotify app and press play, despite the Android app saying that it was still connecting to the Volvo the car did actually start playing the track. Still not sure what caused the deadlock but glad it's now working and hope this helps others if they find themselves in the same situation.
