I am using the web player in Firefox in Windows XP. This week, I am having frequent problems with the web player. If a track is playing, buzzing noises and track hanging occur when I click on the track menu to add a song to the play queue. The noise also occurs when I click on the track progress indicator to rewind.
I have also had frequent shockwave flash plug-in hangs when loading my playlists, and track skipping, but nothing has been as bad as this week. I removed and reinstalled Flash, to no avail.
This happens in Chrome on Mac too, constantly. Restarting the browser helps sometimes but only for about 20 minutes. It also seems to be getting worse.
Yupp, can confirm that this is also happening on a Chrome, Firefox, IE while running Windows 10
paying for Premium does not fix the problem ... I am using downloaded ap on Win10. Will kill spotify and return to iTunes unless acknowledged and then corrected
Hello!
Well, to start you should almost immediately upgrade your pc given the fact that Windows XP is obsolete. Second, best bet is to download the Spotify player to enjoy music!
Hope you can find a fix to it or go my way 😉
sorry, if i said xp! i meant windows 10. And does same thing on my Windows 7 Pro laptop also
Hello again!
Have you tried it on Internet Edge and/or Chrome? For now it's been a known issue on every platform and every OS. Seems to me it's a Spotify internal issue. Best solution for now is to use the client ;(
Have a nice day!
The Spotify player sucks **bleep**. It seems lots of people has this problem and no is looking into it or seems to care. Before you ask, I have Win 10.
How the **bleep** are you a Rock Star? LOL! We all know it's an internal issue with Spotify. What we would like to know if there's a solution to the problem, or if anyone is working on it?
I've conducted a test: Spotify vs. iTunes: I've streamed music for several hours with iTunes and it was beautiful. NO BUZZING AT ALL!
I then streamed music using Spotify, and 5 minutes into the stream, there it was; a short 1 to 2 second BUZZ in the sound.
Seems to me like iTunes is the better overall choice!
The people from Spotify just aren't listening to our complaints or they just don't care!
Now, will someone please look into this issue and come up with a solution!
Yes, I have done everything to reinstalling Spotify, updating drivers, etc., etc., etc., and nothing worked.
So either put out a better updated version or start losing customers to iTunes.
It's that simple. Unless you're proud to put out an inferior product. If so, that's just plain sad on your part.
@artful_dodger59 first of all, I am a Rising Star. Not a Rock Star. What does it mean? I am not fully informed as others on Spotify's current issue. I try to help on what I know and what I am told.
Second, the reason I kept replying that way is because I was trying to make the user feel like he is not abandoned. I've been talking to teammates and couldn't find a solution so far. I'll try to see if someone else can help out on this thread.
Sorry I was useless 😞
Hey @artful_dodger59, can I see if there's anything I can do to help you?
If you would like some help, I need to recap just to be sure I have the correct information about your issue. Just to check, you are using the installed version of Spotify on Windows 10?
If you are contemplating switching to iTunes instead of Spotify, please don't feel like Spotify is your enemy right now. This problem is not something they have created, and I can guarantee they want this sorted out as much as you do. So, if I may ask, could you do your best to work with and not against us? Thank you!
Looking forward to your response 🙂
