Heya! Seems like this is part of some hosts files for blocking ads on Spotify. And it's probably a third-party ad-blocker that is controlling it. I see some comments in reddit about it, so I'd say you can check your browser apps and the permissions you've given for third-party add-ons in Spotify.

I am seeing adeventtrackermonitoring.spotify.com in my ad blocker.

This is incorrect. This domain is used by spotify to measure the type and number of ads served to people. it's part of spotify.

The adblockers/privacy software, if they have any, would be blocking the connection. Link is basically stuff to block, and would improve battery

This domain is used by spotify to measure the type and number of ads served to people. it's part of spotify's ad business. They made 1.2 billion in 2021 (most recent year I found on a lazy search)

The adblockers/privacy software, if you have any, might try blocking the connection. Link posted below is basically stuff to block, and would improve battery life,  since no energy would be wasted on those 'searches'

If you don't have an ad blocker, get an adblocker. Literally even the FBI say you need one to safely browse the internet.
