Hey @JessieAlan,
Thanks for reaching out!
It sounds like those mp3 players are playing Spotify offline and need to get an online refresh every once in a while.
Don't know if it would be of much help, but I found this on the Mighty website - it's instructions on how to connect the Mighty app to Spotify. Maybe you just need to renew the connection from there?
Keep us posted! We'll be on the lookout 🙂
Same problem here
Connection to Spotify in the Mighty App works
Switched offline off and on in Spotify to re-activate (or am I doing something wrong) to confirm that I have an premium account
All areas in the Mighty app confirm: Everything is ok
...then I connect it to my speakers...still telling me that the Spotify 30day offline authorisation has expired...blabla
SUPER ANNOYING
Can anyone please help on HOW (STEP by STEP) to solve this?
Many thanks
Hi @JessieAlan - no sure if you got a respons e to this.
When you download music from Spotify (whether its on the Mighty player, or any player with the Spotify App installed) you can play your downloaded playlists without an Internet connection. However, you can't do this forever - Spotify insists that you connect to the Internet at least once every 30 days to check that your account is still Premium (since only Premium Spotify accounts can download music).
Given that the Spotify subscription is monthly, this sort-of makes sense since your subscription could expire during the time that you downloaded the music and 30 days later.
I also have a couple of Mighty players (the original Vibe and the newer Mighty 3). And when I've been using my Mighty player for a long time listening to my playlists, I'll occasionally get that 30-day warning, and I cannot play any music until I connect my Mighty player to the App and refresh one of the playlists - no need to refresh everything, just refreshing one list does the trick.
So this is standard behaviour.
It's possible you did not see that message since you have not stayed offline for longer than 30 days with the Mighty player, in which case, each time you connect, it refreshes the authorization period for another 30 days.
Hope that answers your question - you must check in with Spotify at least every 30 days, and cannot stay offline listening to Spotify music that has been downloaded for offline playing indefinitely.
Andrew.
Hi Andrew,
I do that and it still won't download my songs. It'll get maybe 13% into the syncing and then it stops and none of my songs had been getting downloaded. I've tried everything and don't know what else to do. Very frustrating
Hey there,
Thanks for posting in this thread!
@bobdylan123321 - just to make sure we cover all bases, could you try disconnecting Spotify from Mighty? Once it's done, make sure to reinstall the Spotify app, as well as the Might app.
After the reinstalls, you can try reconnecting your account by launching the Mighty app and sign in through Spotify.
Fingers crossed this helps! Cheers.
