Hey there,
Thank you for reaching out here in the Community.
Your 'Discover Weekly' should consist of recommendations chosen just for you, based on your listening activity and saved songs from 'Your Library' and playlists.
The more songs saved in Your Library and playlists, the more personal recommendations you'll get in your 'Made For You' section. For personalized playlists such as Daily Mix and Discover Weekly, you can improve the suggestions by liking and disliking songs.
Keep in mind that these playlists update automatically based on your listening activity and they can't be manually updated. What you can do is listen to more music via the Search option and make sure that Private Session is switched off. If you do that - you should start seeing new recommendations in the coming weeks.
There is also a feature called "Exclude from Taste Profile" and it's now available on all platforms. There's more info about the topic in our Steps by Stars article. We'd suggest that you give it a try and you shouldn't be receiving irrelevant recommendations in the future.
While there's currently no way to manually reset your recommendations, we'd suggest you add your +VOTE to this idea, if this is something you'd like to see implemented in the future. Please note that even if an idea is currently set to “Not Right Now” you can still add your vote there as we revisit those ideas on regular intervals!

Thanks for the explanation on how Discover Weekly works. But it still doesn't explain why ômer0 gets recommendations that are totally unlogic. I have experienced the same during the last 6-8 months where songs from East Europe, mainly Poland, suddenly appear in my Discover Weekly feed. Language and style is completely different from what I normally hear and what is normally suggested in Discover Weekly. Before this, I used to say, that Spotifys Discover Weekly was one of the best recommendation algoritms I have met. But now 😞 PS. I can provide examples
Hello everybody!
Every Monday Spotify creates a playlist called "Discover weekly". In last playlist from 30 songs there was 20 song in Ukraine language. I don't listen any Ukraine songs. Why the Spotify thinks that I actually need these? In most cases I listen Russian rock and electronic music? How to stop Spotify to recommend Ukraine songs?
web > bring back disliking discover weekly songs
Third week in a row that Discovery Weekly tried to play me 2.5 hours of vile rap. Rap ain't my thing: I only listen to bebop jazz.
What's going on here exactly?? I'm considering ending my subscription because of this. I don't need gangbanger music.
Tsk, tsk, Spotify.
OK, thanks for the explanation. Now: why doesn't it work like that? I listen exclusively to bebop jazz, and y'all keep sending me Weekly Discovery sets which are exclusively vile rap. What's gone wrong, and when's it gonna stop??

My Question or Issue
This is not the first time but since the new year my discover weekly has lost its mind. My entire discover weekly switches between classical, electro swing, and music prior to 1970. None of which I listen to with any frequency. I click dislike for all music I don't want to hear. I have two playlists entitled, "Retool discovery," and "Retrain," that I created several years ago. I try to play them a lot just to retrain the algorithm. The last time my Discover Weekly went crazy it was fixed miraculously when I could remove certain playlists from my taste profile. That has already been done now.
It's now been three weeks of **bleep** that I keep clicking dislike to and I listen to a lot of music I do like yet, nothing is improving. Here's my Retool discovery playlist if anyone is curious to see how different it is from the classical, oldies, electro swing music that keeps showing up on my discover weekly.

What else can I do to get my Discover Weekly on track?
There is a high chance your account details got stolen/someone else is using your Spotify. I had the same. I just changed the password and logged out of every account (there is a function in the settings). try this and with the new password no one else should be able to use your account (at least until its hacked again. Hahah). After a while I assume your discover weekly should return to normal (I assume).
Hello everyone
For a few months now I've had the problem that 95% of my "mix of the week" features Indian folk music, even though I've never heard it before. For several weeks I have consistently disliked all songs and my entire playlist but without any effect on the algorithm. I don't listen in private mode and olny on two devices. Is there an option to reset this or exclude it via ticket on admin side?
There is another problem with one of my mixtapes. As I often listen to audiobooks, a mixtape with audiobook tracks is now being put together for me. This makes no sense at all, as they are different audiobooks that have absolutely no connection. A dislike has no effect on the playlist here either.
It's only in the last few weeks that audiobooks have been treated like songs.
Is there an option to categorize the audiobooks properly again?
Many Thanks
Tobias

The past 4 weeks' Weekly Discover have only been vile rap (despite my preference for bebop jazz). This week, it's 50/50 of both. I'm undecided as to whether or not this is an improvement or not. 🙄
Still getting an avalanche of vile rap. Wake up, Spotify. 🙄
Another week and another horrible Discover Weekly. 99% classical even though for three weeks I've clicked dislike for every classical song in my list. Every classical playlist I use is set to exclude from my taste profile. I've listened to no classical this last week that wasn't a private session. I'm past fed up and ready to trial some of the other services. I have over 5000 liked songs and been a family paying spotify user for many years but if this can't be fixed I'll go to another service.
i use an applet that saves all my discover weeklys. do i need to unlike the ones i dont like to make the algorithm better, even if i dont listen to them again? also what if i add them to another playlist?
Why are these issues all marked as Solved?
I have been having this problem for years now, I opened the first thread in 2019 and Spotify never bothered to give me a reply, let alone try to fix this.
50% of this weeks playlist is electro swing. I don't like electo swing other than a few songs. Why do things like this keep showing up in my discover weekly? Video game music? Electronic swing? None of my Daily Mix's have these genre's of music so why is my Discover Weekly so disconnected from the music I actually listen to?
How does the solution have no likes? Maybe because it doesn't solve anything. My discover weekly is now over 90% electric swing even though I dislike every electric swing in all of my discover weekly playlists and have for several weeks now. Yet even though I dislike the entire genre it still makes up 90% of new music in this weeks discover weekly playlist. Discover weekly is why I pay money for Spotify. I used to love it. Either fix this or I'll leave to another service.

My Question or Issue
Hello, I a have a problem for month now that my Discover Weekly Playlist is full with Indian Music i never heard before. Even if I remove the songs (doing this for several weeks) the list is only full with these Songs. Not even one of the Genres I hear appears.
I checked my Song history that no one is using my Account, changed my password, removed all Accounts (Alexa, etc...) and logged out of all devices.
I pay for Spotify for several years now but this bug exist for nearly a year now.
I hope someone from Spotify can help me because before this problem I discoverd a lot of good Songs with this Playlist.
Regards
Oliver
Spotify is doing very very bad. All talking about AI and still with manual algorithms to send you the wrong music... My playlist for the week is full of new age content, who asked that?
