2 profiles one account on family plan

2 profiles one account on family plan

I've just upgraded my account from premium to family plan. Is there a way that I can have 2 profiles? I have the space for it. The reason why is because my son has a Playlist that he listens to and I have a Playlist on the same email profile, however, I can't listen to my list of he's listening to his at the same time hence the reason why I upgraded. However, everytime I try to connect another email it says that I can't because I'm the owner of the subscription.

Is there a way I can have 2 profiles under one account so I can enjoy Spotify too without having to fight with my son because he wants to listen to his Playlist?

Hey @Armyj1986,

Thanks for posting and welcome to the Spotify Community.

With the Family Plan, each member should have their own account. If your son hasn't created his Spotify account yet, he can choose SIGN UP from the login screen in the app, or go to spotify.com/signup. He should use a different email address, or phone number, Facebook or Apple accounts.

Once your son has created his own account, you can follow the steps to invite him to the Family Plan. Then, you can share the playlist he likes so he can follow it or copy it to his own new account.

Once you've completed this, each of you should be able to enjoy Spotify on your own devices without interruptions.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions 😊
