UK £ - change to Spain €

 

 

My Question or Issue

In the UK I paid £19.99 for Premium Family, which also included Audiobooks, I have recently moved to Spain where the charge is €17.99 and does not include Audiobooks. I changed my billing account, I selected the premium family in Spain and as expected Audiobooks is removed - this is fine.

 

I have this month been charged £19.99 and not the €17.99 despite removing audiobooks. Can someone look into this please?

Just to confirm, have you updated your payment method to one issued in Spain? If not, both your pricing and country setting will remain unchanged.

Yes I updated the regional location to Spain and the payment method to my Spanish bank - which is part of the automatic process. The audiobooks was removed immediately but £20 was taken out from my account in the UK instead of €. Moreover, I've paid for the UK service this month, and I've not got access to UK content. Please can I be refunded my £20.

Thanks for getting back.

 

It’s possible that the charge was in GBP because you updated your payment method to a Spanish card after the usual billing date for your subscription.

 

I’d recommend double-checking your billing date here just to be sure. Rest assured, your next payment will be charged to your Spanish card in Euros.

 

Regarding Audiobooks, since you switched to a Spanish payment method and your country setting is now set to Spain, Audiobooks won’t be available, as they aren’t offered in Spain.

 

If you believe that you’re eligible for a refund, I’d suggest reaching out to Spotify’s Customer Service.
