How to cancel Family plan but allow daughter to remain

My Question or Issue

I currently have family plan and would like to cancel Spotify but my daughter would like to keep Spotify since she has so many playlists she uses for work.  I would like to cancel and allow her to set up her own account in a way that does not jeopardize her playlists.

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

No worries, canceling your Premium Family plan won’t cause anyone to lose their playlists or saved music. 

You can cancel your Premium Family plan by following these steps:

1. Log in to your account.
2. Under Your plan, click Change Plan.
3. Scroll to Spotify Free and click Cancel Premium.

When you cancel, all accounts on your Premium Family plan (including your own) will revert to the free, ad-supported plan at your next billing date.

Your daughter can then either remain on the free plan, or subscribe to her own Premium plan here; either way, she’ll keep her playlists and saved music. You can also read about the differences between Spotify free and Premium plans in this support article.
