have you tried to use an incognito tab, clear the cookies of your browser and use another browser or device?
When this doesn't work, you should try to use another internet connection (e.g. cellular data instead of WiFi).

The family member you want to invite must have their own account first... so obvious! Sorry. And thank you.
I was having the same issue. I used chrome to open spotify and the invite open was seen. Your family does NOT have to have their own account first.
Had the same problem some minutes ago. Not working in IE10.
