Student Plan: "Sorry, you are not eligible for that plan. Here are some other ways to get Premium."

I'm trying to switch from a family to a student plan. I got verified by SheerID (I got their "You're verified!" email and it sent me to my Spotify account page), but when I choose the student plan, the error message "Sorry, you are not eligible for that plan. Here are some other ways to get Premium." shows up. I've tried this in a private browser window, and the same happens.

Thanks for coming to the Community.

In this case, it's best to cancel your current subscription first and wait until it has ended. Once it has ended, you should be able to upgrade to Premium Student without any issues.
