Trouble with verifying student account

Trouble with verifying student account

I'm on a free Premium trial, and want to switch to Student Premium. While verifying, after filling the form, the "Verify using your school credentials." site appears. I click on the "Log in to school" button, which opens a new window. I log into my Microsoft account, and am redirected to Security Info and nothing more happens. When I go back to the SheerID window, the "Log in to school" button is back instead of the previous "Verifying in process" sign. When I click on it again, a new window is opened and immediately closed, and the button changes to "School credential verification was unsuccessful." sign. 
Am I supposed to wait longer at some point? Is the verification in progress? I'm confused by the fact that I log into my school Microsoft account and nothing happens. 
I've tried doing the same in an incognito window, same result.

Mind double-checking your Country settings match the place where your university is located and if you're logging in with the correct university-owned email address? It'd be great if you'd also share some screenshots or video of the process (and issue) you described: make sure to hide your personal details (like email address or passwords) when sharing. This will help us take a closer look.

My location is Poland, where my university is located. I've never had payed for Premium before, I used a code for a 3 months Premium trial, which ended on Wednesday, so I wanted to switch to Premium for Students, but failed and resigned from the regular Premium plan. I've changed my email to my school email and now when I try verifying, after filling the "Tell us about yourself" form, it tells me that I have already redeemed this offer, even though my Spotify plan is still Free
