Duration playlist problem

Duration playlist problem

  • Greetings. All my playlists peaked at just over 29h, but one of my playlists peaked at 27h and 25 minutes. Even though the app was updated yesterday, I had this problem. I always put the same number of songs on my playlists, but on this playlist they don't. Even if I add the songs, the duration of the playlist has remained fixed at 27h and 25 minutes. Updating the app made my playlist problematic and I don't know how to do it anymore. Thank you

I also apologize for the issues you're experiencing with playlist duration.

 

There's some things I need to understand first

  • for how long has this been going on
  • if any, what troubleshooting steps have you taken?
  • are there any other problems with your app besides this?
  • are you able to recreate this issue on another device
  • lastly, are there no unplayable/greyed out tracks in the playlist that might be causing this?

But while at it, you may try the following and see if it changes nothing

  • clear app cache
  • remove your SD card
  • log out and back in
  • restart your device

The problem is neither on my phone nor on the SD card working great, but the app not working. I have this problem since the app was updated. I clear my cache every day, but the playlist duration issue remained. There is something wrong here and we need to investigate the problem

You're probably right, the issue could have nothing to do with your phone or SD card but removing the card has proven helpful numerous times during troubleshooting.

Since we're in the investigative phase, we should probably try to eliminate any potential cause that can be ruled out.

 

I will look more into this.

I'm sorry for any inconveniences caused but at least there's no problems with playback of the playlist in question, right?

No, I have no problems with playback. The problem happens when I insert the songs in the playlist, which despite the added songs, the playlist duration is not updated and remains at 27h and 25 minutes. The other playlists reached over 29h without any problems, but not on this playlist

Firstly, could you try a clean reinstall of the app to see if it changes nothing.

Also, can you provide more details about the device on which you noticed these issues, it's make, model and OS.

Include the version of the app you currently have installed.

 

It'd be useful to also know if the issue is limited to just your device or not. I'll need you to share the link so I can see the display this side. You could also share it with a friend to see how long the playlist runs on their device.

The problem is still there even when I reinstall the app. My phone model is Samsung Galaxy A02s, while the app type is Android. My playlists are confidential and I can only share with those directly interested, that is, the sportsmen I follow, and fans of those types of sports who can listen to my playlists as often as they want. Even I listen to my playlists

I do understand the part about you not wanting to share playlists with just about anyone.

The thing is, there haven't been many posts similar to yours. It would really be useful to know whether or not your issue is limited to just your device. 

You could probably try to log in on a different device yourself so that once you're done you can remove it from said playlist.

I don't have another phone available. I only have what I'm using. The problem is not on my phone, but on the app that after the update is giving me problems with my playlist, which has a duration of 27h and 25 minutes instead of 29h. This problem is serious and you have not been able to solve it

I forgot to ask something important.

Are you by any chance using a Samsung Device?
There's an ongoing issue where Samsung users experienced a number of issues after an update.

If you're not using a Samsung phone, do let me know.
If you are using it, you can head over to the thread and leave a description of your issue. 

Some users have already found some solutions in the thread.

And also, I apologize for not having resolved this by now, I'm still working on it.

Yes, my phone is a Samsung. The problem is on the Spotify app, not the phone. The problem must be solved immediately

It is a bit late as a solution. But the problem had to be solved immediately

Did you ever get it fixed? I have the same issue. My playlist is stuck at 25 hours and 55 minutes and I know it's not correct because no matter how many songs I add, it stays like that. If you got a solution, please please tell me what you did!!

Ho usato Spotify separatamente e poi ho aperto l'app per fare gli esercizi.
In questo modo sono riuscita ad ascoltare la mia playlist senza problemi
