My Question or Issue

I uploaded a cd album to my Spotify to listen to it in the app. Originally I was having a problem with it skipping songs to download on my phone, so I ultimately decided to move the files to my phone and upload them there, so I could actually listen to them on the go. However, when trying to now download them on desktop, Spotify seems to think they have all already been downloaded. Some songs are skipped when downloading, but it also wont remove the download or redownload them. Even if the download has been "removed," it can still play the songs sometimes. It also often has a hard time playing the songs, skipping them on an attempted first listen, meaning none of them work in another playlist.

Hi there @jhart3313,

Thanks for reaching out.

Could you elaborate a bit more on how exactly you added the songs on Desktop? The process should be that you have the files present on the device itself and then add the folder they're in as a source. See here for the full steps. What happens when you do that? Are certain tracks still missing/unplayable? Let us know how it goes and send us some screenshots of what you see.

Keep us posted.
