Update followed artists

Spotify should update all of our followed artists in the following Section instead of only displaying some artists.

Hey there @Mandamarie23891,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community!

We've gone ahead and moved your idea to our Help board for now.

You should be able to find all the artists you're following from Your Library > Artists. You can also find them among the list of Spotify users you're following by tapping on your profile icon > View profile > Following

Just to check, can you not see all the artist you follow there? If you don't see an artist/band, go to their profile and make sure you're following them. Bear in mind that you can save their albums, singles, and even playlists, but you must click on the 'Follow' button for them to show on your Following list.

Keep us posted!

No I do not have all the artists that I follow in my following Section. I have their albums and follow them but it does not show in my following section

I actually follow over 21,000 artists and id say a majority of them are not in my following Section on my profile.

Hey @Mandamarie23891.

Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info shared.

In this case, we'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app by following the steps mentioned in this article. Also, you can use a different device with your own account to see if it makes any difference. If you don't have another one available, you can borrow one from a friend or a family member.

However, keep in mind that due to the amount of artists you follow, it could be expected that the app may have longer loading times or not show the whole content as it's higher than usual. We also appreciate your feedback regarding this behavior.

If anything else comes up, the Community will be here for you.

I have tried a reinstall and everything recommended it still doesnt change anything.

There are people on here who follow like several hundred thousand people and artists and a good portion of them show up. I have waited days for it to upload to show that I am following the artists I follow and they do not show up. This should be updated or fixed.

I haven't added a whole lot more artists because it doesn't update even over a few days. I don't use my library on my app to find an artist, when it's easier to go to the following page and select the artist from there because you can't access the library from the profile page on the application.

Hey @Mandamarie23891

Thanks for getting back to us.

We understand where you're coming from, however, as @OscarDC mentioned previously, the amount of artists you follow might affect the app's performance.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback with us and will make sure to pass it onto the right team, as we always strive to improve your experience.

The thought is spotify shouldn't charge as much, if all of the data we have does not upload to our profiles or library. It kinda defeats the purpose of being a premium member.
